We get it. Sometimes it’s tough to start doing the things we’ve always wanted to do. We make it a habit of ignoring our deepest desires and true needs. We’ve always wanted to write that novel, or lose those last ten pounds, or ask that sexy person out that you always see at the grocery store by the organic apples putting out the vibe, or go to Mexico, or perform in a one-woman show about dancing through life fearlessly on the go…
Even though it’s what we want the most in life – and deep down we know it – because we’ve felt it ever since our youth, we’ll avoid it. Sometimes it’s because we fear we’ll fail. It’s actually called Aychiphobia, (not to be confused with Arachnophobia, which might be the scariest movie ever) and one way to dissolve it is to organize, as Kwanza pointed out in the video above – break up major tasks into tiny, manageable pieces that you can accomplish little by little.
Other times we avoid the things we truly want and truly need because we fear the success we know we all deserve. It’s tough to confront yourself and admit you’ve been living in a lie. It’s a tough realization to know you are actually worthy of success, because we’re so used to pretending that we’re powerless.
And so, instead of choosing to embrace our own inner power, and say yes to success, we choose to tell ourselves that we’re stuck, we’ve got no luck, we’re powerless, and there’s no choice, wah wah waaaahh. This is when we get silly and think we have no choice but to keep falling back into one of these types of procrastinators – which one have you been in the past?:
Procrastination is like a credit card; it's a lot of fun until you get the bill.

S = Start
Start taking some form of action. Put that phone down, shut your computer down, or put on some neon purple tights and go for a power walk. Shock your system. And possibly shock your neighbors too. They’ll love it.
T = Talk
Listen to yourself. Talk to the hand, talk to your phone, or put on a creepy-ugly cardigan and talk to the mirror. Point is, you need to hear the presence of your voice, to remind yourself that you’ve had the power all along, you have the power, and always will have the power to change your life, right now.
O = Organize
Don’t overthink this. It’s all about simply taking a few minutes to prepare for your task at hand and setting your intention. When you’re organized you give yourself the best shot at accomplishing what you’ve always wanted to accomplish. Take a cue from Mrs. Doubtfire. She knows where it’s at.
P = Pause
Somewhere along the way we got to thinking that not stopping is a good thing. The art of pausing – whether it’s your electronics, chatter from your friends, or maybe even your own thoughts – can help you focus like you’ve never focused before. Above all, pause your need to be perfect, and be still before you act. This is how you Stay SUPERCHARGED.
