Improving The World One Intern At A Time
Hey Boost Friend!
At SUPERCHARGED®, our mission is to boost humans to be better and improve the world… together. That is why we challenge interns to learn and grow to become the best version of themselves.
Simanga Ndhlovu is a senior at Princeton University from the Architecture Department. He is also the Captain of the Track Team.
He was one of our summer interns here at SUPERCHARGED. This is what he had to say about the experience.
Which department did you intern for?
What is one way you stepped outside of your comfort zone?
I stepped out of my comfort zone when shooting the music video. I never would have imagined myself doing that in a million years.
What was the most challenging part of your internship?
Getting a hang of all the new software to use and getting used to the company workflow.
What is the best advice you got from your Team Lead or another team member?
That I should never wait for work to be perfect to hand it in as it’s better to have something that has been iterated multiple times than having a single version.
What internship accomplishment are you most proud of?
The group projects were a big win. Great to see what all our work culminated to.
What surprised you the most about your internship?
How everyone in the company was so supportive.
What was your favorite activity during the internship program?
Well, I'm going to say the box union event. It was nice to unwind with the gang after shooting the music video the previous day.
What was your favorite meal during your IRL visits?
We went to this Korean Bbq place during our last IRL visit. It was my first time having Korean Bbq and I can confidently say it won't be my last.
Share your funniest memory from the summer
Shooting the music video was pretty fun. We had plenty of bloopers that kept me laughing.
How has this internship impacted you?
The internship impacted me in many ways. It's really hard to pinpoint which areas because I generally feel like a better person overall. I would say it gave me professional experience and also allowed me to connect with people physically in over a year because of the pandemic and I am really grateful for.
Describe this summer’s SUPERCHARGED Internship Experience in one word.
What will you miss most about your internship experience?
The company and the people. SUPERCHARGED and KJSI are filled with the most amazing people on this planet. A few days out and I am already missing everyone, they are irreplaceable.
